Kyle Brew
About the Artist
It’s another weekday. You’ve just knocked off work, the sun is dipping into dusk, and you’re chasing a bit of yarn, spontaneity and a catchy melody drifting down the street. Follow your ears and you’ll likely find Kyle Brew beneath the bonnet of his ‘76 Datsun, tapping away with a ball pein hammer or somewhere nearby, still chasing a stubborn rattle in the oil pan.
That same relentless dedication is what shapes Life and Living, Brew’s first full-length album. It carries the raw energy of a self-taught DIY artist, matched with the craftsmanship of years spent refining his sound behind the scenes. The songs don’t demand attention; they invite you in, like a mate offering a beer or a helping hand.
Raised in Victoria around a steady diet of VB, blues and garage punk, Brew has spent over a decade honing his craft through home recordings, four EPs and countless hours experimenting. From a viral appearance on Gems On VHS to sharing stages with artists like C.W. Stoneking and Evan Honer, he’s developed a sound that’s unmistakably his own.
Blending country, garage, blues and Australiana, Life and Living is a laid-back yet meticulously crafted collection from one of Australia’s most unique storytellers.
