For duty of care reasons, liquor license compliance and to be in keeping with the family-based nature of the event, Queenscliff Music Festival has implemented an ACCOMPANIED YOUTH POLICY as outlined below. 

ACCOMPANIED YOUTH TICKETS & WRISTBANDS

  • 13 and Under Ticket – Must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult at all times

  • 3-Day Accompanied Youth 14-17 Years - Must be purchased in conjunction with an Adult ticket purchase.

  • Single Day Accompanied Youth 14-17 Years - (Fri, Sat, Sun) - Must be purchased in conjunction with an Adult ticket purchase. 

Accompanied Youth ticket holders MUST be accompanied by their ticketed Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult at our Ticket Exchange to receive their wristband.

Proof of age for Accompanied Youth ticket holders may be required, such as a driver learner permit or school ID.  

Queenscliff Music Festival reserves the right to:

  • refuse sale or limit the number of Accompanied Youth tickets that are sold in conjunction with a single Adult ticket.

  • refuse entry to those who present as an ‘Accompanied Youth’ ticket holder who fail to satisfy personnel they are accompanied by a responsible adult. (A “responsible adult” is a person who is acting in place of a parent and who could reasonably be expected to exercise responsible supervision of the accompanied youth).

UNDER AGE PATRON CONSENT FORM

Accompanied Youth who are under the care of a responsible adult other than their legal parent/guardian, must have filled out the Under Age Patron Consent Form signed by their legal parent/guardian and bring it with them to the Festival in order to be given a wristband.

FESTIVAL ENTRY & EXIT 

Initial entry to event – Ticket Exchange:

The Accompanied Youth ticket holder must be accompanied by their ticketed Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult in order to exchange their ticket for a Festival Wristband.  Tickets will not be exchanged for a young person presenting at Ticket Exchange without their Accompanying Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.

Entry to the event after initial entry:

Once the Youth Ticket Holder has a wristband, any subsequent entries to the event must be with their Accompanying Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.  A young person will not be permitted entry to the event without their Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.

Accompanied Youth within main Festival Precinct Policy (other than the Dry Zone areas):

  • Must be accompanied by their Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult at all times after 6pm.
  • Are not permitted to approach bar areas at any time.

 Accompanied Youth within Dry Zone area:

  • 14-17 year olds can be unaccompanied within Dry Zone during all Festival operating hours (13 and Under must be accompanied at all times).
  • There will be No Passouts from Dry Zone area after 6pm unless with accompanying Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.

 DRY ZONE AREAS

14-17 year olds can be unaccompanied within Dry Zone areas during all Festival operating hours (Under 13 must be accompanied at all times).

Amplify Dry Zone

  • FITD Amplify program all weekend
  • Outside chillout area
  • Inside venue toilet

Kids Quarter Dry Zone

  • Attractions
  • Family Friendly Entertainment
  • Arts/Crafts
  • Toilets and baby change area
  • Food stall
  • Free drinking water

Maritime Museum

  • FITD Amplify program all weekend

Discovery – We feature the depth and breadth of Australian contemporary artists and foster emerging talent – whilst embracing the incorporation of special international guests.

Creating Opportunities for Musicians – developing and supporting some of Australia’s best young musicians. And this is just the beginning!

QMF is keen to expand its friends of the festival and seek ongoing support to benefit local emerging artists through our QMF Emerging Artist Grant. Our aim is to make each Festival better than the last, with a diverse range of high-quality musical acts and venues in the picturesque town of Queenscliff. Becoming a ‘Friend of the Festival’ is one way to support our charter, which features strong community-minded values. Becoming a Friend of the QMF is a great opportunity to have a role in the development of the local music scene – one that will actually make a difference to QMF’s long term future. 

Joining as a ‘Friend of the Festival’ provides vital support to the Queenscliff Music Festival, and in turn provides you with greater access to QMF Inc.

Music Industry Kickstarter grant

The Queenscliff Music Festival Music Industry Kickstarter Grant is designed to support emerging music industry professionals to take the next step in their careers.

This initiative offers successful applicants the opportunity to test, develop and bring their next project or works to life

The program is focused on building capability, confidence, and meaningful industry connections. 

Applications will be assessed on Creativity, Community, Social Responsibility and Integrity and should demonstrate:

  • Use of skills and innovation to produce new and unique works
  • Increase exposure to further professional or creative development
  • Build capacity of people working in the music industry
  • Benefit the local community and strengthen the local music industry scene
  • Be bold and ambitious

Use of Grant Funds will be considered for funding of:

  • Fees for mentoring or payment to industry professionals
  • Training / professional development
  • Venue hire, equipment hire, materials
  • Publicity, promotion and release of new materials
  • Inclusion and access costs

Applications close Thursday 30 April 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Queenscliff Music Festival is a creative, community-driven organisation committed to supporting the music, arts and cultural growth. Reflecting this commitment, the Music Industry Kickstarter Grant (previously  Emerging Artists Grant) empowers emerging music industry professionals with a valuable opportunity. Over the past decade QMF has contributed to financially supportingover 20 local music industry professionals through this program and is proud to continue do so.
